Denver Gravitt is a Texas-based painter whose work draws from childhood road trips across the American Southwest. Through the lens of a car window, wide-open landscapes and dramatic fields of clouds sparked daydreams that are brought to life today on canvas. These images often frame fantastical interpretations of everyday objects, through which themes of nostalgia, anxiety, and childlike wonder are explored with a sense of magical realism.

Gravitt holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Abilene Christian University. He has recently returned to painting as a way to reconnect with personal storytelling and reflect on the evolving landscape of the world in and around him.
